About CoC
Mission
It is the mission of the Southen MD Local Homelessness Coalition is to address the problems of homelessness in Southern Maryland, through cooperative relationships, outreach, prevention, housing and supportive services.

Purpose
The purpose of the So MD LHC is to:
Promote community wide commitment to employ best practices to end homelessness;
Secure funding for efforts by providers and government entities to prevent homelessness and quickly re-house homeless individuals (including unaccompanied youth) and families, while minimizing the trauma and dislocation that homelessness causes to individuals, families, and communities;
Promote access to and effective utilization of mainstream programs by homeless individuals and families; and,
Encourage self-sufficiency among individuals and families that experience homelessness.

Meetings
The Board meets on a monthly basis every 1st Thursday of the month. Routinely, the meetings are held via Zoom link at 2PM.  
Each of the three counties have 5 voting member representatives. The meetings are open to the public. The voting members are:
